As someone deeply passionate about education and shaped by an unconventional journey, I’ve devoted my life to uncovering solutions that enhance and uplift people’s lives.
I faced one of life’s toughest challenges at just 2 years old—losing my dad. While the grief was profound, it led to something beautiful: my mom remarried, and her new husband became the father I call my own. A college professor with international experience, he treated me as his son and nurtured my love for education and intercultural exploration.
At age 10, my family relocated to Spain, an experience that forever shaped my perspective. I bonded with my new family, immersed myself in the culture, and quickly became fluent in Spanish. Later, attending boarding school introduced me to students from across the globe, broadening my understanding of the world and forming lifelong friendships.
This passion for learning and connection led me to Harvard, where I studied political science and thrived in the intellectually rich environment of Boston. After graduating, I followed in my father’s footsteps and joined the Peace Corps, volunteering in Guatemala for two years. Collaborating with villagers and local governments, I worked on community development projects to improve living conditions—building improved wood cookstoves, latrines, and solar showers while engaging in meaningful conversations in Spanish to understand local needs.
While in Guatemala, I met Camilla, who was also a Peace Corps volunteer. We later settled in Austin, Texas, where we raised two sons, Niko and Gabriel. Balancing fatherhood with my love for education, I obtained a master’s degree in public administration. This milestone propelled me into a rewarding career in public service, starting with water quality initiatives at the U.S.-Mexico border. Over the next decade, I transitioned to managing public relations in the transit department, using my bilingual skills to foster collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Although I found fulfillment in public service, I eventually felt ready for a new challenge. A trusted friend—my REALTOR® during our move to Texas—suggested I consider real estate. The idea resonated deeply, evoking memories of my childhood when I helped build houses alongside my family. In 2005, I earned my real estate license, discovering a profession where I could combine my problem-solving skills with my passion for helping people navigate life’s biggest decisions.
After working with two other brokerages, I partnered with two incredible colleagues to establish Juice Real Estate in Austin. For 16 years, we’ve built a business rooted in integrity, collaboration and trust. Thirteen years ago, I also launched a property management company that now oversees more than 350 properties, from tenant screening to building maintenance. Today, it’s a family endeavor—my son, Niko, works with me, adding a new dimension of joy to the business.
On the personal front, my life entered a new chapter when I married my amazing wife, Wren. A former teacher and current children's counselor, she inspires me daily with her kindness and wisdom. Together, we savor outdoor adventures, from hiking Kauai’s stunning Na Pali Coast to boating on Lake Austin. At home, we enjoy walks with our two dogs, Ripple and Pearl, through our neighborhood.
Community involvement remains a cornerstone of my life. I coordinate the Friends of Shipe Park, a group dedicated to improving our local neighborhood, and support Foundation Communities, which provides housing for at-risk individuals. Currently, I’m training to assist Spanish-speaking children in navigating the court system (CASA), a cause close to my heart.
Switching careers from public service to real estate was daunting, but it has been one of the most rewarding decisions of my life. Every day, I’m grateful for the opportunity to meet new people, solve their challenges, and play a fundamentally important role in their most significant life milestones.
I take pride in connecting with clients and guiding them through life’s big decisions. My education equips me to communicate thoughtfully and effectively, ensuring a smooth process from start to finish. Additionally, my property management expertise enables me to quickly identify issues and potential repair costs—empowering my clients to make informed decisions.
Helping clients navigate one of the biggest investments of their lives is a responsibility I take seriously. I’m a dedicated advocate, going the extra mile to find the perfect property. From thorough research to skillful negotiation, I work tirelessly to secure the best outcome because I genuinely care about my clients’ success and well-being.
Specializing in residential, commercial, and investment properties, I bring an investor’s mindset to every transaction, anticipating long-term potential. As your REALTOR®, I’m here to protect your interests, resolve challenges, and ensure your experience is nothing short of exceptional.
Sincerely,
Sam Archer
